Trump fails in bid for Nobel Peace Prize as surprise winner announced

1. Trump needs to follow this peace process to its conclusion to be eligible for the peace prize imo. If he manages that then he deserves to win it

2. I don’t get why people were entertaining the idea that Trump would be a serious contender for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. I understand Reddit speculating wildly as we often do, but even major media outlets were jumping on the idea. The truth is was that it was never going to happen, and likely will never happen regardless of what Trump accomplishes. While the Nobel Peace Prize Committee does make a lot of stupid choices already (at least that is my opinion), Trump is too much of a polarising figure that I really struggle to see how anyone could think he could actually get it.

4. Is this news? The deadline for submission of candidates was in January. There was 0% chance Trump could win.

5. How long before he drops bombs on them? I am legitimately concerned that this woman now has a target on her back. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that this is where America is at right now.

    People are losing their life’s work because he’s angry at someone and therefore the whole country needs to follow his whims and emotions.

    He’s an unstable individual driven by sadism.  America has inflicted this Uber Nepo Baby on the world and refuses to ever hold him accountable to their laws.

    So yeah, he’s not bringing peace to anyone.  He’s destroying millions of lives and claiming he’s helping them.

    The world sees the lies and calls them out.

    American media is filled with articles about how he was “cheated” of this prize he feels he deserves and is entitled to.
     
    Propaganda has the loudest voice in American history right now.  Sycophants are spinning a narrative in his head.

    There was no sane world in which he was in consideration for this prize and he’s acting like he was on stage as a finalist.

    Just absurd to give his delusion any credibility at all.
