France’s PM quits hours after naming government, plunging the country into more political chaos

Last ditch attempt for Emanuel Mron. A few hours after his resignation, Sebastian Loru is back in the driving seat for one last lap. The shortest serving prime minister of the Fifth Republic has been entrusted with one last mission to pick up the pieces of a shattered coalition. He now has just a few days to come up with a course of action. At the request of the president, I’ve agreed to hold final discussions with the political forces for the stability of the country. I’ll inform President Mako on Wednesday evening whether or not this is possible so that he can draw the necessary conclusions. An almost impossible task with obstacles on both the right and the left. Earlier on Monday, Bruno Lame, the former finance minister, chose to remove himself from the outgoing government. A decision that could appease tensions, his critics say, but things remain fragile. Either resignation or dissolution. The second option, dissolution, is in our view irreversible. The only solution is an election. The president of the republic is free to resign. There is disillusion which we are calling for. In any case, no government will have our support. It will systematically censure any government. On the left, the France on party is calling for ML’s resignation. While the socialists and Greens are pushing for what is known as cohabitation when the president and the prime minister come from different political parties. Our preferred choice is cohabitation and this is not just an option. It is a democratic right. Democratic lu has until Wednesday evening to give his report to the president. Mos said he is prepared to take responsibility in the event of another failure, which would probably see France go once again to the polls in new legislative elections.

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu resigned after less than a month in office on Monday and less than 24 hours after naming a new government that prompted a key coalition ally to withdraw support. The move deepened the country’s political crisis and left President Emmanuel Macron with few options. The presidency said that Macron, who has been hitting record lows in opinion polls, accepted the resignation.

  1. GOOD ! You deserve all the chaos you get. Britain will never forget or forgive what you did escorting migrants onto our shores after all the money we paid you to stop them. I hope France gets everything it deserves. Traitors

  2. I'm pretty sure that it is Macron that is the problem. A president that is more interested in foreign politics than what happens in his own country should not be president.

  3. Return Bourbon Monarchy again as fifth Republic collapsed totally ,Let King Louis XX to lead France as King Louis XIV and bring stability and glory 🇫🇷🤝🇮🇳🇬🇧⚔️🌹🙏👑🤴👸😊
