BAHAWALPUR  –  Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farhan Farooq paid a surprise visit to the Civil Defense Office in Bahawalpur, where he conducted a thorough inspection of confiscated LPG cylinders, decanting equipment, and machinery seized from illegal petrol pumps and unauthorized fuel stations.

During the inspection, Dr. Farooq reviewed the overall performance of the Civil Defense Department and issued strict directives for immediate and decisive legal action against all individuals involved in the illegal sale of petroleum products. He emphasized that all equipment used in these unlawful activities must be seized and rendered inoperable to prevent future misuse.

The Deputy Commissioner noted that public complaints regarding illegal petroleum sales are being actively addressed, with strong measures underway against unauthorized LPG decanting and transportation. Dr. Farooq made it clear that such illegal businesses, which pose serious risks to public safety, will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He stressed that a zero-tolerance policy will be rigorously enforced.

Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, the Deputy Commissioner directed that all available resources be mobilized for this purpose. He further instructed the Civil Defense Department to intensify inspections and expedite the crackdown on illegal petrol and gas sales throughout the city, aiming to prevent any potential accidents or tragedies.
