The president noted that many regions of Ukraine were under attack throughout the week, and air raid alerts are still sounding in several areas due to the threat of strike drones.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia continues its air terror against Ukrainian cities and communities, intensifying attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure.

“The immorality of these crimes is such that every day Russians are killing our people. Yesterday in Kostiantynivka, a child was killed in a church by an aerial bomb. Overall, just this week, over 3,100 drones, 92 missiles, and about 1,360 guided bombs were used against Ukraine,” he added.

The president noted that services are continuing to deal with the aftermath of the strikes, carrying out repairs and providing assistance wherever needed.

“It is crucial that local leaders ensure proper support for those affected. Moscow is escalating attacks and openly taking advantage of the world’s focus on ensuring peace in the Middle East. That is why there can be no easing of pressure,” he emphasized.

Zelenskyy also stressed that sanctions, tariffs, and coordinated actions against buyers of Russian oil that finance this war must remain in place.

“And this is exactly what can pave the way for lasting peace in Europe. The world can guarantee this alongside the peace process in the Middle East. Thank you to everyone who is helping,” he concluded.

Attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on October 10

On the night of October 10, Russian forces carried out a massive strike on Ukraine’s energy facilities.

As a result, power outages were recorded across multiple regions.

The attack left the left bank of Kyiv without electricity and water. DTEK, NEK Ukrenergo, Kyivteploenergo, and other units quickly deployed a headquarters to restore services.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko warned that, according to forecasts, Russian forces could carry out another strike on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in the coming days.

Late on October 10, it was reported that electricity had been restored on the left bank of Kyiv following the massive Russian attack.
