Meghan Markle’s decision to share a video of herself twerking while trying to induce labor would have left King Charles “horrified,” according to a royal expert.

The Duchess of Sussex stunned fans and the media by posting the footage on Lilibet’s fourth birthday. In the video, she was seen energetically dancing in a maternity ward with Prince Harry at her side.

In the video, Meghan was seen enthusiastically twerking to Starrkeisha’s Baby Momma Anthem, hiking her skirt above her knees, raising her arms, and shuffling low, with her hands firmly placed on her waist and her legs moving rhythmically. After the clip was released, Prince Harry’s thoughts on it were shared.

Captioning the video, Meghan reminisced, “Four years ago today, this also happened,” adding that after other methods such as eating spicy food, extensive walking and trying acupuncture failed, dancing seemed like the next logical step.

“Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!” she wrote.

Bond suggested the royal family would have found the video “vulgar,” especially King Charles. She suggested the monarch would have been “horrified” as royal family members are expected to act with “some measure of dignity.”

Despite this, Bond acknowledged that such videos will “connect in a very real way to young people.”

“My own daughter thought the video humanized both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labor and she thought it was rather charming,” the expert shared.
