Neat, daily reminder to never ride a motorcycle or bike on the roads.
Feels like a lot of 18-30 yo dudes weren’t taught to ride defensively and within their abilities
Ok, so what’s up with the 20 guys (1.7%) admitted for “Obstetric and gynaecological devices?”
Wowwww. The comparison of categories between genders is wild
If r/whywomenlivelonger were a chart
My take from this is not that motorcycles or bicycles are dangerous but that the risk of injury on a two wheeler is dramatically lower than falling off a ladder at work.
Animal-rider and animal drawn vehicle accident?
So men get wrecked at work or doing work, attacked or involved with bikes.
Women are getting plastic surgery, falling off horses or having babies.
Yh I’ve never seen a female scaffolder have been told they’re is a few about nowadays luckily most falls aren’t fatal most fatal falls off scaffolds nowadays are usually other trades especially when they decide to adjust/ adapt it their own i myself have fallen off a few of my own scaffolds ironically caused by the safety harness that’s ment to prevent that very thing 👍🏽
I’d like to see this broken down by age category, just to see whether men get smarter as they age. For the women, there might be four categories majority female in the 65+ cohort, mostly preventative care.
What would “agents acting on muscles and breathing” be?
1.7% of obstetrics and gynaecology are men?
Ok two wheels bad. Four legs, also bad. Got it.
Procreative management caught my eye. Vasectomies are usually out patient, so I’m assuming that’s the small percentage where something goes wrong, for males to be admitted?
Male discrimination in antenatal screening. So much for gender equality. /s
Wow, of the nearly 3 million people in the bottom sevens categories, not a single male incident recorded? Clearly there’s a such a recording bias present smh
I’m surprised prostate cancer isn’t anywhere on the list?
So what I’ve learned from this is I should get a motorcyclist wife who will get me (a male) pregnant. That way we avoid the most amount of injuries.
The most shocking thing is that 90% of psychological admissions are women. How can this be? There are so many homeless men with severe mental issues that are hospitalized all the time.
lawnmowers are out for blood apperently
“Cyclist non-collision accident” actually still a collision, just with the Earth.
Would the men admitted for obstetrics and gynecological be trans, or is there something else going on?
Horsepower is dangerous for both genders
Men do dangerous stuff. Women get pregnant
More bicycle riders were admitted than motorcycle riders. Not what I expected.
Can I assume the ‘obstetrics and gynecology” category for men has to do with birth defects? Or would that be under neonatal care, or something like that?
So pregnancy is really dangerous. Great….
I feel like there should be more categories that are closer to equal? Like car accidents? Or am I missing smt.
The most beautiful data I’ve seen
Would love to see the similar items clumped into one category, to pull in other categories. All cyclist stuff lumped. All pregnancy stuff lumped. All work injuries lumped.
Is there a lot of women in England with broken penis?
Really feels like the graph should be sorted by number of admissions rather than most male to least male admissions, but that wouldn’t make it “beautiful”, merely much more useful.
