Slovakia’s construction output rose by 12.1% year-on-year in August 2025, marking the highest growth since February 2022, following a 10.3% increase in the previous month.

The expansion was driven by a rise in domestic construction (7.9% vs 7.8% in July), new construction activity (7.8% vs 6.6%), repairs and maintenance (11.4% vs 1.8%), and construction abroad (49.4% vs 29.6%).

At the same time, construction activity rose for engineering works (4.8%) after a flat reading.

Meanwhile, output growth moderated for building construction (9.4% vs 12.3%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output grew by 0.4% in August.
