Futuro Vegetal is a Spanish NGO that is demanding the government to end livestock subsidies and use the money to promote socially and ecologically responsible plant-based alternatives.
Cattle ranching is the main driver of deforestation across the globe and is currently responsible for a huge portion of climate pollution. For years, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has been recommending that we transition to a plant-based food system to combat the climate crisis.
