Submission statement: Donald trump has stated that if hamas refuses to disarm in phase 2 of the peace plan the united states will disarm hamas. This comes after the establishment of a command center in isreal for the International Stabilization Force that will be lead by the US.
What kind of peace plan was that , the sides didn’t even agree on peace
IMO: Hamas refusing to disarm and leave gaza at this point is tantamount to suicide. They agreed to a proposal that would replace isreali occupation with American, Egyptian, and Turkish occupation. At this point they should take the offered amnesty and leave. Staying is just going to add 3 more countries to their enemy list, all of them atleast on par with isreal, and all 3 have lengthy history suppressing resistance movements. This isnt a winning play
Pax Americana is back baby
Hamas is justified in doing what they did. Israel doesn’t have the will to disarm Hamas after the hostage release.
Hamas was betting the US doesn’t have the stomach to disarm Hamas. They are wrong; the US will disarm Hamas. The US has given up on containing China and now has the resources and time to shape the Middle East. In terms of geopolitics, it makes sense. There was no way the US could match China in Asia, so they decided to just give up. However, the US isn’t going to draw down its forces, so it will shift forces that were supposed to pivot to Asia and keep them in the Middle East.
… Absolutely incredible, the US spent the last 25 years losing unwinnable conflicts and occupations in the middle east, and now Trump wants to get the US directly involved in the most unwinnable occupation of all?
Truly a Confederacy of Dunces.
One thing is really clear there – US will not be involved.
Now what really a thing is that whole current agreement based on US guaranty hat Israel will not proceed war after they return hostages and first part (only part agreed) done. So it is up to US in this point to decide what is covered in that guaranty and what is not – and that statement more point on this.
Hamas disarmament was purposefully left vague, since anyone attempting enforcement would need to physically deploy in Gaza. What we have is a cease fire.
The door is left open for Israel to remain in Gaza indefinitely. In 20 years Israel has come full circle from a complete withdrawal to reoccupation dealing with the same problem.Â
What can the US do that Israel wasn’t doing?Â
No more foreign wars, am I right?
Let’s do Israel first.
How is the US going to disarm Hamas when Israel hasn’t managed it in decades of trying and two years of constant bombardment?
Donald really wanted those resorts.
