Donald Trump’s Treatment Of Female Journalist Slammed As ‘Disgusting’

Donald Trump faced fresh criticism on Tuesday over a comment directed at a female journalist during a White House event with Argentine President Javier Milei.

As questions from the press wrapped up, Trump pointed to a reporter and invited her to ask a question. She asked: “As China deepens its presence in Latin America, what role do you see for the U.S.?”

Rather than respond, Trump turned to Vice President JD Vance and said, “I just like to watch her talk.” The two laughed before Trump told the reporter, “Good job. Good job. Thank you, darling,” and ended the event.

It’s unclear whether Trump heard the question itself, given the noise in the room.

But what appeared to be his dismissive tone, failure to answer and “darling” remark prompted anger, and followed backlash over recent interactions with women — including his praise of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s lips and an exchange with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
