Weren't tickets supposed to become cheaper? This is a youth ticket in 1 direction. It would cost me 40 euro to go to antwerpen and go back home. Its ridiculous.

  3. It is cheaper if you take some time to understand the new pricing, instead of complaining without knowledge. See their [official website for youth tariffs](https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/products/youth). Just get a Train+ for 16 EUR/year and enjoy max. 5.50 EUR per journey for a year?

  4. if i simulate the same trip for a person 12-25. it gives me 12.5 for the anytime ticket. and 5.5 for a ticket with the train+ thing. so if u buy a 1 month train+, and 2 tickets it would be 4+5.5+5.5 = €15 for a retour

  5. Well it did become cheaper with a whole lot of CaveAts, travel at calm hours, be of the correct age, and so much more. Do you know what it did do? It got picked up by foreign news stations to report it can be done, train travel can become cheaper, without the mention of said CaveAts. The NMBS PR team are still going down on each other to celebrate.

  7. This cannot be a youth ticket. The youth ticket is a maximum of 12.50€. And with train+ (which in this case is worth it with a single trip) it comes to 5.50€

    Just checked the website version and it says it’s 12.50€ ( and with the train+ it’s 5.50)

    Yeah it’s maybe 16€ for a year abo for train+, but it’s definitely worth it it seem ( just two rides on the same route and you saved 10€ and that’s 2/3 of that 16€) especially if you do this route alot.

    Trust me, I’m a person who does this same route alot, and 20€ was the adult price, 10€ish for weekend tickets/ 10 rides card ( Wich got sadly removed)
