1. Nothing in here about the fact that we currently have about ONE TRILLION METRIC TONNES OF EXCESS CO2 in the atmosphere.

   The best insight in the article is that companies are using (wasting) billions of dollars on insignificant carbon captures schemes mainly to reap the tax benefits.

3. Carbon capture is going to have to improve immensely above expectations for it to have a dent on the atmospheric carbon content. The immediate urgency still needs to be stopping emissions at the source
