Polish Border Guards Discover Tunnel on Poland-Belarus Border

The Polish Border Guard uncovered a tunnel at the border with Belarus. Who dug the tunnel remains unknown.

Polish Minister of Internal Affairs Marcin Kervinsky announced this on social media. He explained that the tunnel ended about 20 meters from the fence on the Polish side, which is installed at the border. The tunnel began on Belarusian territory.

Earlier, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged its citizens not to travel to Belarus, and those who are already on its territory were advised to leave the country as soon as possible.

Polish authorities warned that in the event of border closures evacuation could become impossible. Currently, only one border crossing is open for crossing – Terespol–Brest.
