The FBI is investigating after a hunting stand was discovered within sight of Air Force One, prior to President Trump’s arrival at the Palm Beach International Airport.The United States Secret Service was conducting a security sweep of the area before Trump’s return to West Palm Beach on Friday. During the sweep, the Secret Service reported an “item of interest” near the airport, prompting the investigation.”Yesterday, prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement obtained by ABC News.The FBI and Secret Service are working with local authorities in the investigation.USSS spokesperson Anthony Gugliemi says they did not locate anyone near the hunting stand.”During advance security preparations prior to the Palm Beach arrival, which included the use of technology and comprehensive physical sweeps, our teams identified items of interest near Palm Beach International Airport,” USSS Spokesman Anthony Gugliemi said in a street. “There was no impact to any movements and no individuals were present or involved at the location.”Authorities closed parts of Southern Boulevard Saturday during the investigation.
