EU-Egypt summit to take place
President of the European Council, António Costa, together with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will represent the EU at the summit, while President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi will participate on behalf of Egypt at the first EU-Egypt Summit. It will take place in Brussels.
The summit will concentrate entirely on strengthening the EU-Egypt relationship. We’re meeting to implement the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership and find ways to make our political and economic cooperation even deeper, driving mutual stability, peace, and prosperity. Crucially, the leaders will also use this time to discuss pressing global issues, covering everything from West Asia and Ukraine to multilateral cooperation, trade deals, migration, and security concerns.
According to the European Council’s official page, the summit will be followed by an informal dinner, to which EU heads of state or government have been invited.
King Charles and Queen Camilla visit the Vatican

This year marks the Jubilee Year for the Church, and King Charles is going to participate in a joint prayer service with other Christian leaders right in the Sistine Chapel. Why is that such a huge deal? Because he’s the Head of the Church of England, and this will be the first time a ruling English monarch has prayed alongside other denominations there since King Henry VIII broke from the Catholic Church back in 1534! It’s an incredible moment of unity.
Centre-Ladakh talks to resume
