St Catherine’s Band are set to fly the flag for Ireland this weekend when they travel to Malta to take part in the prestigious International Music and Majorette Festival.
The Killybegs-based band will join talented groups from across Europe – including Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Croatia, Greece and hosts Malta – for a celebration of music and culture on an international stage.
Over the course of the festival, St Catherine’s Band will feature in three colourful parades at some of Malta’s most iconic locations: the Marsascala Waterfront; the historic capital city of Valletta; and the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk.
In addition to the parades, the band will perform in two sit-down concerts, giving them the chance to showcase their musical talents to international audiences.
The festival will draw to a close with a farewell party, offering all participants the chance to connect, share experiences and celebrate the enduring spirit of music and friendship.
