WANA (Oct 23) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi responded on Thursday to remarks by Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), regarding concerns over the possible use of force against Iran.

Araghchi stated, “I don’t know whether Mr. Grossi made these remarks out of concern or as a threat. But those who make such threats must understand that repeating a failed experience will yield no result other than their previous failure.”

Grossi had earlier said that Iran possesses around 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent, bringing it close to the threshold for nuclear weapon capability. He expressed concern that if diplomacy “fails,” there could be a “resort to the use of force” against Iran.

Araghchi also had commented on the prospect of talks with the United States, emphasizing that “the Americans will get nowhere with excessive demands.”

He added, “As long as this attitude and the bitter experiences of past negotiations with the U.S. persist, there will be no possibility of resuming talks—unless this approach changes.”
