The No. 1 team in the world, South Africa, fresh off a 2025 Rugby Championship win, will begin its northern hemisphere tour facing Japan at famed Wembley Stadium in London.
And the match has a streaming home in the United States, and it’s FloRugby and the FloSports app.
A part of a collection of international matches that also include the USA Eagles’ showdown with Georgia, Japan and South Africa have some history.
And the Blossoms are celebrating an anniversary. It was a little more than 10 years ago that Japan beat South Africa in the 2015 Rugby World Cup 34-32 in pool play, which is considered the biggest upset in the history of international rugby.
It’ll be tough for the Brave Blossoms to pull off the upset again. The Springboks, after dropping matches to Australia and the All Blacks, dominated the last three matches of The Rugby Championship to claim a back-to-back title and establish themselves as the No. 1 team.
Japan enters outside the top 10 at No. 13, but did score a win over Wales in July and played Fiji close in a 33-27 loss. Japan has wins over Wales, Tonga, Canada, The United States this year.
Japan, coached by former Red Roses and Wallabies coach Eddie Jones, faces Australia at 1:50 a.m. ET on Oct. 25.
