They say there is growing public anger at a lack of fundamental political action to build a better society.
Campaigners have united around three clear demands:
better jobs for everyone who needs one, with fair conditions and wages that pay the bills,
better investment for life's essentials – like affordable homes, good public transport, a thriving natural environment, and strong public services
and better social security so that all of us have a foundation for the future.

Ain’t reading all that. If the article writer can’t be arsed spell checking and proof reading, then I can’t be arsed reading it.
I feel like they need a more focussed campaign. Saying “several things should be better” seems quite vague.
Bit vague, no?
Looks like an AI generated picture of a protest when you haven’t specified the cause lol
The indy campaign is waiting for them whenever they are ready
“what do we want?”
“Things to be better!”
“When do we want it?”
“Now!”
Etc, etc, etc….
Better jobs ? When tech companies are doing stuff like this: https://restofworld.org/2025/philippines-offshoring-automation-tech-jobs/
(robots operated by Filipino workers replacing shop staff in Japan)
A thriving natural environment ? Strong public services ? When the idea of paying more in taxes is ballot box poison ?
It all seems rather unlikely, unless by some miracle, people change their attitude and are willing to buy locally made things, from locally owned suppliers. But that’s unlikely in the current economic model, where nationalised industry is frowned upon.
Phones, cars, other consumer products, all foreign or foreign-owned industry, with the bulk of the wealth going offshore, and only the taxes on the workforce wages going to public services.
Pretty sure they’re asking for a left-wing socialist society, while the UK (etc.) continues its slide to the right.
Good luck.
A campaign about nothing really then? It’s just stuff literally every political party say they aim to do
One of the signs should say “Crow me a River” with a wee Labour Branch Office logo.
“I WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN!”
A furious band of counter demonstrators demanded a worse Scotland . . .
Good luck with that.
We would have a better life if they stopped importing millions of extra people
Haha “demands better Scotland” then probably goes out and votes for the snp for the millionth time, the party that has been running the country into the ground for 2 decades, big mystery why things keep getting worse tho XD
Why is their a Church of Scotland banner?
Edit to add a joke – Is it to make it a literal broad church?
Not gonna get it from Labour.
How exactly will they deliver a better Scotland?
Improve on the baby boxes, free transport for under 22’s, no university fees. When no unionist party even offers anything to improve this.
