First time in belgium, I had no idea how to eat this? Hope I didn’t embarass myself… It was delicious atleast😋

    At a restaurant you’ll probably just wanna use a fork, although you could yolo your way through anyway 🙂

Sometimes you’ll see tourists pry at the shells with a fork or another shell to remove and eat the meat but the proper Belgian way to eat them is to pop the whole shell in your mouth and then chomp down on it like it’s a tiny taco. Don’t forget to keep a napkin nearby to stem your bleeding mouth!

  3. I know the shells can be a tad crunchy but they are definitely the tastier part of the dish. Hope you didn’t send them back!

  4. I start by licking the shells first. Pairs deliciously with chocolate, whipped cream and cheap strawberries

  6. I stack the finished shells one inside the other to make a magic wand when I’m done.
