Portland Trailblazers head coach Seanty Bilips and Miami Heat guard Terry Roier were arrested by the FBI and separate gambling pros this morning. Bill’s arrest is related to an illegal poker games tied to the mafia according to ABC News. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Tied to the who? The mafia. Uh if Red Collect, the Banano, the Genevies, the Colombia, the Colombia Columbbo, and the Lucases. Oo. But anyway, uh, assistant coach Thiago Splitter will take over for Phillips as Portland new interim coach. Roier is accused of being part of a gambling ring that used inside information to make illegal wages. According to ABC, Roier and Bilips are just two of the names arrested in a wide-ranging probe called Operation Royal Flush. They need to stop. That started four years ago. Two indictments have 34 defendants listed. The indictment alleges that Roier told Associates he was going to take himself out of games during the first quarter on March 23rd of 2023 against the Pelicans so others could bet the under prop bets. This information was sold to others so they could also profit. There was a 259,000 that would was wagered on Roier by a group of people with inside information. According to the indictment, Roier played under 10 minutes in the game. Bilips took part in a rigged poker game in Manhattan. According to the FBI, how do do you do how do you rig a poker game? Well, Oo, according they had X-ray machines built in the tables. So when you lay the cards face down, I can see what your whole cards are. So now now I can play contact lenses through glass that read mark cards. So you know, oh that’s a ace, that’s a this, that’s a that. uh secret cameras in card trays. Bilips is also alleged to have provided insider information on the Trailblazers injury while team was tanking at the end of 2023 season. Former NBA player Damon Jones was also arrested. Jones sold information on the Lakers game so others could bet on it. According to the indictment, Jones is a close friend of LeBron James who did not play in the game in question. The Lakers were named in the investigation during the press conference. Each defendant in the NBA gambling case has been charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Hey, man. Listen, man. Boy, this this is this is big. This is huge. This is ginormous. Listen, this is like an episode of Law and Order. You hear me? Number one, okay, I understand the gambling part, but what grabs me, what grabbed my attention is the fact that the mafia is still prevalent in today’s society. Now, why do you think they win? Wait, hold on. It’s New York. I Oh, listen. I know they ain’t never went nowhere, right? But they’re never visible. Their presence as opposed to the 70 80s. That’s what the real mob does. So they have legitimate businesses to hide behind the other things. See, and people ask why do this is why the NFL and the NBA puts out all injury reports. Okay? So therefore, Uhhuh. cuz if they didn’t put it out and guess what people know I can get part that information and it what it looked like that what happened in the Damon Jones situation he gave them the information before it came out so they bet before everybody else knew LeBron James was a scratch they had already got the money so now the line is going to come down but they already got in on the other it’s just oh let me tell you a story go ahead go ahead go ahead wait let me let me get comfortable now cuz your stories be Good. But anyway, and I started I look, boy, look here. I started to get the dude that vouched for him. I knew him. But he we’ve been cool. You vouched for him. You vouched for him. You got to cover. So on a $50,000 bet, I think it was a $50,000 bet, wasn’t it? A $50,000 bet? How much was it? It was over $100,000, they gave you 2500. Now what? What? Hold on. They ain’t even give you 10%. It’s nothing like sitting there and you play $5,000 or $10,000 a hand and then you get blackjack or you get what gets scary oo what gets scary oo is that when you get a double down hand and you got 5,000 or you got 10,000 on the wood. Yeah. Now, when you got a double down, when you got a double down hand, you got 10,000 on the wood. What that mean? You double your money. You doubling it. So, you got to put 10,000 10 more with it.
