  1. Yes, you sleep better outdoors. Oxygen and what not.

Both my kids slept outside up until about 2 years of age. Obviously not at night, felt like I had to put this here as there are some of you I suspect to be closet am*ricans based on intellectual-development.

  2. The Swedish are so afraid their kids will turn brown that they cover them in snow.

  3. I love sleeping tucked into a thick blanket with my face being open with open windows like this during winter.

  4. We are more advanced though, no need to go outside. A Scandinavian would die of hypothermia in a portuguese house during the winter time.

  5. Yeah thats not normal in Canada, maybe if you want to meet someone from CPS…

  6. Remember these are places where the state kidnaps your child if you so much as look menacingly at your child.

  7. My mom has some good pictures of me sleeping and our old cat guarding me in the pram during winter.

  8. I work at Kindergarten in Norway. Yes the kids sleep outside in their prams. Nothing wrong with that.

  9. In Estonia it’s pretty common too, helped me to get used to the cold.

  10. My mother did this to me as a baby in Germany in the 80s. Apparently it was all the rage. Now people wonder why I can’t sleep unless the window is wide open even in minus 3 degrees weather..

  11. You can tell that baby has gone through military conscription in the Nordics. It might be -25C, you’re wet and your sleeping bag is soaked, but you know if you slide down to the bottom of your pupae, you will just make it worse. Nose has to draw in fresh air, no matter what, otherwise everything gets even wetter.

  12. Even as babies the Nordics would prefer to be in sub zero conditions than be in a room with other humans.

  13. CAN in Scandinavia ….you guys buried your pride in systembolaget completely, right?

  14. Sleep outside by all means, but give the poor baby a damn cover for the snow at least!

  15. I lived in the savage lands as a kid, from -99-02. Mother had my brother there.
We lived out in the countryside and still some animal called the CPS because my brother was having his naps outside.

  16. Fair enough.. If I gave birth to a norwegian I would also abandon them in the snow.
