International Force in Gaza: “We will determine which country suits us,” Netanyahu assures
Following criticism of coordination with the United States and the involvement of third countries, such as Qatar and Turkey, in the reconstruction of Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a point of reiterating at the start of Sunday’s government meeting that Israel is an independent state. “Last month, some claimed that I controlled the American government and dictated its security policy,” Netanyahu said. “Today, the opposite is being said: that the American government dictates Israel’s policy. This is false. Israel is an independent state, just like the United States.”
