That’s really cool! It reminds me of the illustrated maps you get sometimes in certain copies of the Hobbit/ LOTR.
Shame that Dyfed ceased to exist in the late 1990’s…..
This is a real rollercoaster for me as I’ll start with the fact I’d rather it was Eryri and Bannau Brycheiniog, they’re the names, not an attack just for future reference. On a more positive note this is beautiful and Tonyrefail mentioned 🍾
Should clyd be clywd or am I missing some historical name?
Looks lovely. The Llyn peninsula is a bit droopy maybe?
I grew up in Tonyrefail. Why did it get a spot on your map? Seems kinda random. Cool map though.
Out of all the places of south Wales you decided tonyrefail should be on it 🤣. This is brilliant in all seriousness though.
Very smart. Flint is a bit far away from the estuary but it’s cool.
Why do some of the NE Welsh places have their English spellings?
Lovely map, but Conwy is over on the west side of the river. Feel a bit mean for pointing this out.
No Bridgend. It’s beautiful
I like it and would buy a print of that!
Great work, thank you. If you ever do do a second draft, i’d love to see Anglesey replaced with it’s proper name Ynys Mon
That is so pretty.. do you sell these?
The little dragon is adorable! Love everything about this.
Tregaron should be on the Teifi river.
A few location tweaks (Tregaron as mentioned, and Rhayader is too far north, should be on the Wye) and this would be something people would genuinely buy I think
I love this! But the river wye should come out into the severn at Chepstow (the Welsh and English border)
Looks great maybe the place names in Welsh if I was being picky. But still a top effort, oh and move Fflint up towards the coast a little. 👍
Flint – Fflint
Wrexham – Wrecsam
Cardiff – Caerdydd
Holyhead – Caergybi
Swansea – Abertawe
Cardigan mentioned
Awesome bit of work!
This is wonderful mate!
Ignore the people who are agonising over tiny details.
Morgannwg for glamorgan, Abertawe for swansea, and Casnewydd for newport would be a cool name change, but no hate this is class
Its great. I think it would be better if you replaced Glamorgan with ‘morgannwg’ and Anglesey with ‘ynys mon’.
Lovely map! However, as someone from Gwent I feel compelled to say that the Afon Gwy/Wye should return westwards from out of the picture (somewhere around Monmouth), and then run along the border on its final southward stretch before meeting the estuary at Chepstow.

Well done, I love the text colours.

I think you’d sell a lot of prints of this map if the names of places were in Welsh. Use this for place names: https://www.welshlanguagecommissioner.wales/policy-and-research/standardisation-of-welsh-place-names
