Train Accidents in Czech Republic and Slovakia Cause Multiple Injuries

In the Czech Republic, a passenger train derailed after colliding with a truck between the towns of Belčice and Breznice. As a result of the crash, six people were injured, and several were taken to medical facilities for further examination.

According to rescuers, medical aid was provided to all those affected. One person sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

According to the Central Bohemia Police, the train’s engineer and the truck driver were also injured. There were about 20 passengers on the train; all were evacuated from the cars.

Incident in Slovakia: Collision of two passenger trains

On October 13, in Slovakia, a collision of two passenger trains occurred. As a result of the crash, at least 69 people were injured, including a 20-year-old Ukrainian.

The circumstances of the incident are currently being clarified by authorities and emergency services; investigations and collection of relevant reports are ongoing to determine the causes of the crash and its consequences.
