I’d be pushing the “one side of this argument are Nazis and fascists” and “We should all be terrified of and suspicious of each other”. I’d want them to think everyone might be a bot. I’d want them to treat politics like religion, a battle between good and evil, and that they are on the side of good and their opponents on the side of evil.
Russian bots might well be having some success, just not in the way you think.
