Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to immediately carry out "powerful" attacks in Gaza.
Netanyahu made the announcement shortly after Israel said that Hamas had opened fire at Israeli forces in southern Gaza.

Trump’s negotiating results
Is there any reporting on Hamas firing on IDF forces today?
When there is such pompous announcement, it’s usually a sign that PR is the goal, not any military targets.
So … with the recent news, is the peace deal still going on, or is it on life support now ?
They’ve been violating the ceasefire from the very start of its signing. Israelis don’t respect the American pressure to resolve this conflict. And while small scale ceasefire violations are bound to happen, especially as multiple armed groups now seem to be attempting to challenge Hamas control over Gaza. Restarting this war was always the plan for them when they got their hostages back.
Trump was the only one dumb enough to not see the writing on the wall. Or he might have literally only done it as a misguided attempt at getting the Noble Peace prize.

They’re not going to stop until they level it completely, especially since they have their hostages back.
Can i take a stab in the dark and assume that Bibi was in the middle of a court appearance and he had to leave his own trial once again for ‘super important reasons’?
Netanyahu made a very successful political career out of the idea that there can be absolutely no peace. He’s not going to see that idea fail so close to retirement.
