Vistricha took the lead from the beginning of the game by showing strong concentration. He maintained the lead throughout the first half, and even though SBE’s Henny Reistad scored six goals in the first half alone, he was not lost.

The trend was similar in the second half. In the 41st minute, Vistricha made the first four-goal lead of the game 27-23. Svier immediately fought back with three consecutive goals to balance the score 32-32 with Leystad’s equaliser around the 50th minute, but Vistrica exploded again.

Danila So Delgado Pinto’s back-to-back goals allowed Vistrica to make a comeback with three consecutive goals, followed by Lorena Ostase’s goal.

Vistritza led the team to victory with goalkeeper Renata Lais De Arruda making 14 saves. On offense, Ostase scored nine goals and Sonia Seraficeanu and Delgado Pintu each scored seven, with the three players scoring 23 goals.

In Esbier, Leystad fought hard with nine goals, Michala Elsberg M ø scored six goals and Sanna Solberg-Isaksen scored five, but failed to keep the victory due to defensive instability.

“This is a really special day for us,” Vistricha coach Carlos Viver told the European Handball Federation. Renata (De Aruda) performed tremendously, but most of all, it is the result of the whole team coming together and fighting. I will congratulate you today, and I will prepare with the same passion again from tomorrow,” he said.

“Vistritsar is a strong and organized team,” said Svier coach Thomas Axnér. 38 runs is a big lesson for us. Goalkeeper De Aruda decided the game. Vistricha deserved to win.”
