There’s a thing i saw online a few days ago saying that Europe doesn’t actually exist, its just the west part of Asia.
It must be the cool anti western thing of the moment.
I heard a lecturer that said that the term Middle East was a diminutive name for that region and that it would be more reflective to call it West Asia. Which would be more accurate because of the interconnecting cultures and history of the continent as a whole. So Turkiye would be the gateway to Asia.
Damn Europoors recognising not everyone speaks and reads English and some people are Illiterate.
I’ve seen this getting used for Turkey sometimes. And in anti-Eurocentric academia. But not in regular speak.

West Asia is a thing, it’s the western bit of Asia funnily enough – pretty much the Middle East plus a few other countries like Georgia.
West asia is the middle east – Egypt + Caucasus
