Oreshnik to be deployed on combat duty in Belarus in December

The Oreshnik missile system will be deployed on combat duty in Belarus in December — as stated by Press Secretary of the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont, TASS reports

“Preparations for the deployment of the Oreshnik system in the Republic of Belarus are being finalised. It will be put on combat duty this December, so any discussions about whether the Oreshnik will be deployed are now settled,” Ms. Eismont said.

In a comment to RIA Novosti on the issue, she added, “On October 28th, the military gave a report to the President on this issue. The military confirmed that it will happen in December.”
