Vail Williams has been appointed to manage a 41, 746 sq ft warehouse and office building in Ely.

The property consultancy and UKPF partner has taken over the day-to-day running of Denmark House on the Cambridgeshire Business Park, on behalf of landlords Enigma Property (One).

Lead surveyor Emma Cooper, who heads the Vail Williams property asset management (PAM) team, facilities management lead Mark Riley and property management accountant Harry Mackenzie will look after the landmark building for the three-year contract.

The refurbished, fully-occupied two-storey building occupies a three-acre site at the entrance of the park in Angel Drove. Its refurbishment involved splitting it from a single unit to three, a complex transition overseen by the firm’s building consultancy partner Keith Shaw.

Occupiers include Oil & Gas Systems Ltd (OGSL), which originally occupied the whole building, advanced medical imaging business Ubiety Technologies and Cambridgeshire telecommunications and fibre network firm WHP Sitec.

Vail Williams’ role will include managing tenants, collecting rent, administering the service charge, facilities management, cleaning, fire maintenance building works, lifts, toilets – as well as queries.

Emma Cooper said: “We were thrilled to have been offered this opportunity to partner with Enigma Property (One) and our role is to not only manage Denmark House but also safeguard the building’s long-term value.

“Bringing in a professional management team gives peace of mind and allows the landlord to concentrate on core business in the knowledge that their asset is being well looked after.”

Jonathan Lobo, director of landlord Enigma Property (One), said: “We are grateful to Vail Williams for taking on this property management role and have been impressed with the firm’s efficiency, transparency and clarity of communication.

“We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with Emma and the team as we move forward with Denmark House’s new life.”
