  1. >military analysts say

don’t need military analysts to tell us something so obvious, Ukraine is struggling from top to bottom. There is no good ending anymore. Kyiv Independent says they’re outmanned 8-1 in Pokrovsk, this is likely the same across the front to varying degrees.

  2. Ukraine has been struggling to hold Pokrovsk since the beginning of 2025.

The bottom line here is that russia has overpowering resources compared to Ukraine but russia is also comically ineffective. Those two combine to slowly grind forward month after month.

  3. No fucking shit.

This war showcased how terrible Western medias are, it’s disappointing how they’ve lost the plot and have a binary positioning in regards to this conflict.

Most of the articles are just fueling some kind of wishful thinking, there is no proper analysis of this war in most cases because ultimately a proper analysis is **boring** and would demand an attention span that is longer than 5 seconds. If your average reader doesn’t think that Russia/Ukraine is about to win, I guess there’s no point posting an article.

We’re stuck with those borderline 50IQ Opinion articles where Putin is doomed, Russia is going to collapse, Ukraine is going to run out of men any moment now, etc…

There is no massive swing of momentum, Russia is slowly gaining ground and has been gaining ground at a relatively faster rate the past few months but that’s it, Ukraine isn’t going to revert that trend any moment soon and Russia isn’t going to provoke an Ukrainian collapse in the coming weeks.

Most Russian gains could have been foreseen weeks ago.

If only medias told the truth to the people instead of treating it like a football game where the audience needs to be entertained with flashy headlines.

  4. First of all, holy tankie Batman.

Second, yeah. It’s been under heavy pressure all year Russia, while slowly grinding away, is taking massive losses for it. Ukraine needs the one thing the West can’t give it: manpower. They are far to outnumbered to hold on indefinitely but 3 years in, Russia still hasn’t taken all of the Donbass. The cracks in Russia are starting to show as their losses become greater
