Seriously. Why would they let us watch that? No Mrs. Mason I don't know what 6 x 6 is, I just saw an entire family of mice get merced and no one is doing anything about it!

Nothing like the Sunday scaries with a side of soggy uniform and existential dread.
I still have all the figurines. Animals of Farthing Wood was one of my favourite programs.
Particularly the scene of the mouse crying to the peregrine for killing their wife/husband.
Lol. “Kestrel” is my memory of this.
It was on after school on BBC1 in the 90s, not before, from 4.35 – 5.00, and Sunday mornings on BBC2. CBBC programmes didn’t broadcast in the morning before school at that time until it had its own dedicated channel in 2002.
BBC2 still had ceefax on in the morning in the 90s.
The animals of Farthing wood was just Watership down for pussies
Gets to school:
teacher: “you are all looking sad today, let’s watch a film, its got rabbits in it” 💀
Badger’s death still haunts me to this day.
It was some dark stuff. They moved on so fast after really dark deaths. Still have all the episodes now.
My cat loved this show she’d run in when she heard the music and sit and watch it with me 😭
Oh god, the Shike! Still can see that scene 30 years later!
