  1. Armchair experts who studied at the “University of common sense” coming to deny all this in 3..2..1

  2. Whereas I agree that “young” people seem to care about their futures I don’t see this being played out practically in their lives.

My coworkers who are single/in their 20’s and 30’s are seemingly on Easy Jet flights every weekend possible.

  3. idk man I dont really see the point in this. these researchers already care about the climate – no surprise – and have some sort of future-related anxiety, no matter their work. they chose the job themselves, crying about it and saying the job itself affects their emotions is a bit overdramatic.

  4. Pretty sure none of them will feel any better when they can increasingly say „I told you so“ as the problems accumulate.

  5. People should be less emotionally attached to their work. It’s a job.

  6. Ok… my usual take on this… but the economy… think about all the colored paper with numbers on. It is important to accumulate as mich of it as possible. /s

There will be a point, where we destroyed our planet enough so it won’t be able to regenerate. And when the last one is dying cause of thirst, hunger, lack of air or just too much heat/cold it will be clear that we failed.
There is a possibility to still do a 180° turn. Yes with consequences.
But that would mean to take responsability for our pollution and actively trying to minimize it. Not just as private persons. But mainly on the industrial level.

  7. This will be quite a challenge for us in the future. More migrants, droughts, landslides, floods. But we‘ve always found solutions and I hope we do again.
