In Bulgaria we call them therlitzi. Basically warm, home knitted winter socks. I'm curious if they're common in other Europe countries as well?

Kalchuni, at least in my grandparents dialect.
Yes, I wear them around the house, they are usually called botoșei but a (very) regional name for them in my town is cioci
In the province of Newfoundland and Labrador we called them “vamps”
We call them Botoșei in Romania, more specific NW. I have 2 pairs, one made by my grandma (she sadly passed away last year), and a pair from a friends mother. I love them.
Edit: we also make them longer.
Geiten wolle sokken, goat wool socks, even though they are usually not made of goat wool lol
Papucie in Poland. Best if made by grandma.
Patucos in Spain.
botoși/botoșei, cipici or târlici (although târlici is rarely ever used). If I had to pick one, I’d call them cipici, when I say botoși I usually think of something taller and with a bit more structure, like the ones you’d buy in a store.
This is in the southern part of Romania, in Transilvania I think they’re also called cioci

Besides handmade wool socks, we have these beauties here in Finland:

Wearing them right now, slipper socks
Raggsockor. Being low cut like that picture defeats the purpose.
