  1. All these comments and remarks that say he started too late or is he losing time are based on the reasoning that somehow they need more discussion to understand things or refine things. But I don’t think that is the case at all.

The proposed measures have been the same for weeks/months, and it’s merely a matter of getting enough pressure build up from society or wherever to get it accepted.

So the answer to the question ‘is he losing time’ for me is surely no, it was never about time, not now but also not during the formation where the final agreement differed only slightly from the initial proposals, even with several months in betweeen.

  2. Dat dien mens gelijk heeft. Ze moesten maar voordien al akoord zijn, maar ze zien hem liefst allemaal gewoon zijn ontslag geven om dan te roepen ‘ziede wellllllll’.

  3. He’s not losing time. He’s making sure there is no time to discuss for discussion sake. Coalition partners just need to listen to what he says and wants to do.

  4. He’s going to Egypt to maintain good relations with the Suez canal country. That’s part of his job description and something we need.

The rest of the world will not pause until internally in Belgium politics is ready to face the budget.
