«Janusz Szeremeta was a soldier of the International Legion, a platoon commander with the call sign “Cossack.” His life was cut short at the age of 41, on December 4, 2022, near Bakhmut. On his grave, located at the cemetery in the village of Shklyary, the words are inscribed: «The path to paradise is open for those who serve others». Today we bow our heads before all who sacrificed their lives for freedom – and thank those who, like Janusz Szeremeta, showed that true brotherhood knows no borders» – wrote the Ukrainian consul in Rzeszów, Vasyl Yordan.
