And then he was shunned and arrested, and only pardoned after his death (if memory serves).
I don’t get it
Where’s the meme?
They will say the woke crazy leftists I trying to erase British heritage by acknowledge gay people exist
The Curse of Fenric!
What happened to Alan Turing was disgusting. Overwhelming the British public agrees.
His image even on our £50 notes. He is held in high regard by the centrists and right. There are loads of openly gay soldiers, sailors and airman. This is a weak attempt to manufacture rage
The original meme is quite hilarious imo, but yes, lots of homophobes often forget that a gay man saved the British war effort.
Another gay hero from ww2 with an utterly incredible story:
Never forget that gay people liberated from the camps were immediately put in jail afterwards. It’s why the poppy shouldn’t be worn by LGBT people
I’m not even remotely homophobic but I would prefer if the two were separate. The poppy alone should be all inclusive, so just wear a separate pin for both.
May seem a bit pedantic but I just think the poppy on its own is a very powerful message and resonates with people more then if it was added to in any regard
Your spelling mistake was very nearly accidental hate speech.
Yeh but he wasn’t mentally unstable
Yeah this still feels wrong, the Poppy already commemorates all our fallen, to try and separate them by sexuality feels wrong, and what feels even more wrong is how certain I am that this is more of an attempt to push LGBT support onto something that already has a lot of mainstream support, this feels more like using the fallen soldiers as a pawn for a pro LGBT agenda than just acknowledging LGBT people have existed in war.
Honestly this stuff is why its so hard to convince boomers that this stuff isnt being shoved down their throats and that people just want to live.
He also did it without any need for a big song and dance number about who is preferred sexual partner is. Just got on with it, what a strong and decent person.
The poppy even with pride flags attached wouldn’t represent the guy he never died in service during war time
Just saying, a lot of gay folk do not support the inclusion of the trans flag
This is quite literally revisionist history
Turing was a hero and he was treated abominably. There were probably many gay soldiers who fought and died too.
And never forget an actual Nazi killed Hitler.
Let people wear whatever poppy they want. I disagree with any poppy additions but this at least has good feeling behind it.
The ones with football badges are much much worse from my view.
Did a full blown tard create that title?
The poppy is an inclusive symbol. It doesn’t need segmenting into different “types of poppy”. Go and shove your woke drivel.
You spelled f****t wrong
That flag has very little to do with homosexuality.
Probably a whole lot of the lads in the thick of it were gay too mate.
We (as a country) completely fucked him over after he (and his team) essentially saved our bacon. They might not have been on the front line but they were heroes just as much as anyone who fought.
the soldier is wearing a soviet uniform
Could be a Victoria sponge, as long as it helps those that need it I will donate, just a shame it needs a charity at all.

That’s a poppy I’d actually wear
