SNAP is legally used as an need identifying heuristic all over the place. Amazon uses it for Prime discounts. Many farmers markets use it to issue extra market credit.
Furthermore, lets figure out whether we can legally call people who haven’t been issued SNAP funds “recipients”.

I’ve been thinking for a while that they should just give everyone food stamps. Save money on the paperwork, and create the biggest farm subsidy in history. If you’re so against government help, don’t spend it. Get a tax credit on your death tax of whatever your account is at. Even billionaires would fight for the allowance to meet inflation.
