According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, in response to a Russian attack north of the Danube on the night of November 4, two F-16 aircraft and two Eurofighter Typhoons were scrambled.

Sources citing the Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that both pairs of aircraft were engaged in patrolling the country’s airspace.

It is noted that at 00:17 the aircraft were scrambled from the Fetești base, and at 02:45 the two Eurofighter Typhoons stationed at Mihail Kogălniceanu base were engaged in monitoring and ensuring Romania’s airspace security.

The Ministry of Defense stressed that the pilots had authorization to engage aerial targets as needed if they entered national airspace, but no unauthorized intrusions were recorded.

The Ministry of Defense also added that no debris from aircraft was found on the country’s territory.

According to sources, on the night of November 4, Russian invaders attacked port and energy infrastructure facilities in the Odesa region with drones.
