Türkiye’s exports increased by 2.3% year-on-year in October, reaching $24 billion and marking the highest October export figure in the country’s history, Trade Minister Omer Bolat announced Tuesday.
Speaking at a news conference in Istanbul, Bolat said Türkiye also achieved a new record in annualized exports, totaling $270.2 billion over the last 12 months.
Strong growth in 2024
From January to October, Türkiye’s exports amounted to $224.6 billion, up 3.9% compared to the same period last year.

Bolat noted that the upward trend reflects continued momentum in Türkiye’s export performance despite global challenges.
Imports and trade balance
Imports rose 6.6% in October to $31.4 billion, resulting in a foreign trade deficit of $7.4 billion for the month.
Between January and October, the foreign trade deficit stood at $74.4 billion, according to official data.
