Louder for those in the back
Does it taste like cigarettes?
Or is it addictive like cigarettes?

Terrible headline.
Paul McCartney , a dedicated vegetarian and animal rights champion, has penned an open letter through animal rights organization PETA. In his letter he mentioned, “Serving meat at a climate summit is like handing out cigarettes at a cancer-prevention conference! The animal agriculture industry is a top driver of deforestation and the climate catastrophe that is wreaking havoc on the planet.”
COP30 needs to do better!
*This triggers the question, how does the legend keep himself entertained during flights on his* ***private plane****?*

This message of no meat doesn’t work. People like meat. We can ensure people understand the impact of individual meat consumption and ask that they reduce that consumption and suggest good alternatives to meat.
Stuff like this is why movements don’t get traction. “You don’t recycle?! You are a horrible person and deserve to roast!” is not going to win people over.
Meat makes up 10% of our GHG emissions. Veganism is not going to solve the climate crisis. Stop demanding virtue signaling and inserting animal rights concerns into a chemistry problem, Paul.
The flights to the conference undoubtedly had a hundredfold more climate change impact than the meals.
Ask for a carbon tax and banning extraction of Fossil fuels or forget about climate change entirely. There is no path to climate stability that requires giving up meat, and giving up meat distracts from the sheer scale of the real problem.
That’s a dumb take, this kinda stuff just pushes allies away.

Cheese and eggs pollutes nearly as well as meat.
We need some meat anyway.
How do you produce vegetables for 8 billion people without oil AND without fertilizers of animal origin?
Flights are easier to avoid.
Macca gets it!
If you believe climate change is an existential threat, & you don’t, at the very least, limit your meat consumption, you are only posturing & have no true conviction.
And what about all the private jets everyone took to get there?
Meat eating is a big deal for us working slobs, but if you’re concerned about these aristocrats appearing to take carbon emissions seriously, then wouldn’t they have taken a train?
