Ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in February, Canada and Finland unveiled their teams hockey uniforms.

Canada has three uniforms: a white jersey featuring a red maple leaf, a black jersey with a black maple leaf and a red and black version.

Finland has white and dark blue versions of its uniforms.

Finland will head into this year’s Winter Olympic Games riding the high of their gold medal performance in Beijing in 2022. It marked the country’s first gold medal in ice hockey, and the team is looking to take home another this time around.

Canada has won gold in ice hockey nine times at the Winter Olympics, but hasn’t done so since the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The Canadian team didn’t medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Next year’s Winter Olympics should be particularly interesting in ice hockey since NHL players will be allowed to participate for the first time since 2014. NHL players could partake in the Winter Olympics from 1998 to 2014, but the NHL stopped allowing player participation in 2018 since the games come in the middle of the season.

With the Winter Olympics coming during the NHL’s season, the league will take a mid-season break to allow players to represent their home countries.

That will most affect the United States and Canada, with stars like Auston Matthews, Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk, Jack Eichel, Quinn Hughes and Charlie McAvoy playing for America and Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Brayden Point and Sam Reinhart suiting up for Canada.

With all that star power heading to the Winter Olympics in 2026, all eyes will be on the ice in Italy.
