Peru congress declares Mexican president ‘persona non grata’

2. Peru is a vassal of the US, the only coup was the one that the US and Biden fully supported, where the military overthrew the president, Castillo, in jail and installed an unelected right wing leader.

   But that’s not considered a “coup,” the “coup” they reference here was when the Peruvian president, who was elected, proposed changes to the unicameral congressional system.

3. It’s funny seeing Americans know the demagogue playbook used by Donald Trump by the letter, then fall for it when a Latin American president uses it, just for the sake of going against the US.

4. The person they kicked out was authoritarian. But there are Americans who have severe guilt claiming that the new Peruvian government is bad because America supported the old president’s ouster.
