Officers investigating the death of a nine-month-old baby boy who was killed by an XL Bully have arrested two people in connection with the incident. The baby died at an address in Crossway, Rogiet, on Sunday, November 2.
In an update on Friday, Gwent Police said a man, in his thirties, and a woman, in her twenties, from Rogiet were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death. They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

This dog breed needs to be eradicated.

Until the government fully bans the entire Pitbull family this will continue to happen, no exemptions, no” oh go on then, keep it even though it’s illegal” , no more” it’s actually technically only 95% of the banned subsection of the breed so it’s actually fine”
Its utterly insane that we continue to pretend these ticking time bombs have any place in society , let alone as fucking family pets
Neglect, so did they also leave the baby alone with the dog?
I’m from the area and have mutual connections with the couple. The family was the type to have an XL Bully.
The rumour for a few days was that the dog (the dads) killed the baby, and in retaliation and anger, the mum stabbed the dad. Though, this doesn’t seem to be the case.
Though it’s high time we began culling these types of dogs, how many deaths are needed before people have finally had enough?
Well the one that attacked an 8 year old here is still alive, the smack head owner still has it. This happened 4 months ago.
Somebody thought it was a good idea to leave a little stuffed doggy alongside mourning flowers? For a baby who was killed by a dog?
