1. A necessary evil. Let’s say, one day, another nation decides they want what we have, and we can’t make them go away with milky lattés, strong social justice and platitudes. Just ask Ukraine. 

   I’m a pacifist, but dear protesters, what do we do then? So these evil weapons are indeed solutions to problems we hopefully never face, but have to account for the possibility of.
