November the 8th, 2025 – The well known British World Travel Market awards Croatian tourism six times in London, spotlighting what this marvellous country has to offer in front of a huge audience and following.

As Vecernji list/Radmila Kovacevic writes, readers of the longest-running British travel magazine, Wanderlust Travel Magazine, have provided awards to the Croatian tourism offer – six times (in six categories). As part of the 24th edition of the prestigious Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards held in London, Croatia was declared the second most desirable European country of all, with its islands taking fourth place among the most desirable in Europe, and the star of the evening was of course – Dubrovnik. This southern Croatian tourist gem won the title of the second most desirable European city and a special Wanderlust award for its efforts in sustainable tourism. Notable success was achieved by the Dubrovnik-Neretva and Istria counties, both of which took sixth and seventh place in the category of the most desirable European regions.

These awards were given based on votes from more than four million readers of the Wanderlust magazine, a figure that shows that Croatia enjoys a truly fantastic reputation among British travel enthusiasts.

This ceremony in London for the world’s best destinations and tourist offers, held during the World Travel Market in the capital of the United Kingdom, brought together leading representatives of the world’s tourism industry. Croatia, confirming that it is one of the most dynamic and popular European destinations, was in the spotlight during the evening with the World Travel Market awards going to Croatian tourism across multiple categories.

The awards won represent an exceptional recognition of Croatian tourism, as well as very clear confirmation that Croatia is continuously strengthening its reputation as one of the most desirable and highest-quality European destinations of all.

“We’re particularly pleased with the fact that British travellers have recognised not only the beauty of the Croatian coast and islands, but also the efforts we’re making when it comes to ensuring sustainability, preserving authenticity and improving the quality of the overall experience. I’d like to congratulate all the awarded destinations and I’m sure that this is a strong incentive for all of us in further promoting Croatia as a country of exceptional natural beauty, rich culture and warm hospitality,” commented Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ).
