Still waiting for the commemorative Brexit teabags one side says freedom, the other tastes like regret.
Could be worse though. Imagine being Albania
Remember the good old days when a “Great British meme” wasn’t just somebody moaning about politics?
Can we have some fun in here for once?
High horse for a leader whose countries main export is criminals.
This is so true, and its the main reason they arent deporting all the immigrants and giving pedo rapists 2 months suspended sentences, and great housing.
The only way to push any of their agendas is to use immigrants as a scape goat. Jobs? Immigrants. Economy? Immigrants. Crime? Immigrants. Housing? Immigrants. Loneliness? Immigrants? No doc’s appointment? Immigrants. Schooling? Immigrants
Wake up babe, the latest political meme just dropped.
I’m good thanks x
I think the national depression goes back a bit further than brexit
Yes but all the gammons got away from something about a Lisbon Treaty that was so important to the country to get away from. It was definitely going to make the country better. Thats what they were sold anyway, bs.
You left Europe because you wanted more investment.
I left Europe to sell cocaine in London.
We are not the same
I didn’t realise how tiny Keir Starmer was. Lol
Albanians, famous for not living in Albania..
Still the greatest act of economic self-harm and dumbest vote in the country’s history.
Also undermined food security and screwed Brexit poster boy industries like fishing and farming. Don’t see Farage waving fish around much anymore
I didn’t vote for Brexit, but it’s clear that the government’s implementation of Brexit among other terrible decisions caused this, not Brexit itsself.
I voted for reinstating the British empire? You mean that’s not happening!?
Starmer is 5ft 8, how tall is that guy?!?!?
Starmer always looks like he’s at his mates house, dropped a huge log in the bog only to find out it doesn’t flush
This meme is pure misinformation. *edit – The Albanian PM did say what’s in the meme, someone shared the YouTube link in comments below. Still doesn’t make what he said true though.
The “more boats” line is the worst offender. Crossings went from 299 in 2018 (when we were still IN the EU) to 45,000 in 2022 and another 36,000+ already in 2025, and the single biggest reason we can’t stop them isn’t Brexit, it’s the ECHR still choking us through the Human Rights Act 1998. Strasbourg’s Article 3 blocks and last-minute Rule 39 injunctions killed every Rwanda flight, let 61,000 appeals succeed since 2015, and wasted £700 million with zero deportations, keeping asylum hotels packed and dinghies flowing. Investment dipped short-term from uncertainty (FDI hit a low in 2023) but the UK still holds Europe’s largest FDI stock and studies show Brexit’s net impact was “insignificant”; global inflation and war hurt far worse.
Happiness ranking fell to 23rd, but that’s pandemic isolation, NHS collapse and 14% inflation, not the loss of some mythical EU joy.
The meme cherry-picks pain points while pretending the ECHR isn’t the real sovereignty thief still overruling Parliament in 2025. Withdraw tomorrow like Farage and Badenoch demand, copy Australia’s 80% drop in boats, and the smug remainiac nonsense collapses
We left because it was voted on, in a high profile highly publicised referendum and upholding democracy is more important than all of those things put together.
Nobody wants to mention that though.
Ermm no. The boats existed before brexit but were nowhere near the problem now. So that’s a bit wrong.
But believe it or not, food energy and essentials like clothing prices are better here than Germany.
< voted remain
Its partly because we were sold a lie (eg £350million-per-week to the NHS), and partly, at least i believe, sabotage by those in parliament, that Brexit effectively failed.
“BuT We NeVeR gOt a PrOPeR BrExIt”
🙄
Yes it was a shit decision, but cant we moan about things we can change instead of something that happened 10 years ago?
I was against Brexit but wanting your own country to fail just so you can be right is sad.
Yawn. This meme reminds of that guy playing anti Brexit songs with a loud speaker in Parliament Square every week. 9 years after the vote people walk past like he’s mentally unstable. I was against Brexit, but [jeez Louise. ](https://youtu.be/L0MK7qz13bU?feature=shared)
I hate that my family voted for brexit.
Jfc this is like a crazy ex repeatedly telling you “you’ll regret it” nine years after you left them.
Move on with your life.
What boats weee coming before Brexit?! I don’t remember any.
They never left Europe, only the trade embargo thet they were miss sold under Thatcher.
We didn’t have any boats in 2016. They come over in lorries because our borders were wide open because of Europe. Now they have to come on rubber dinghys.
I think someone else needs to get over it
Brexit was a missed opportunity due to crap politicians.
We didn’t leave Europe… We left the EU.
We are still in Europe. It’s a geographical region, we can’t escape it.
Now you are depressed? 😂
“Waaaaa we didn’t get the Brexit we voted for because the remoaners sabotaged iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!”
r/AbsoluteUnits of a PM
*fewer boats
When farage gets in he’ll finish what he started
To be totally fair, I think Brexit could’ve been good for the UK the problem with Brexit lies with the completely shit useless monkeys that are our leaders from whichever party, because you couldn’t roll all 650 of them into 1 and get a decent one.
