Naftogaz signed a memorandum with Greek company Atlantic-See LNG Trade S.A. for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the US to Ukraine via Greek gas terminals and the Vertical (Trans-Balkan) Corridor. The new agreement will enable phased implementation of new strategic projects: ensuring stable, long-term LNG supplies to Ukraine, integrating Ukrainian infrastructure into European LNG logistics routes, and creating a sustainable system for American LNG supply and storage. Additionally, Naftogaz and Polish company Orlen reached an agreement on supplementary American LNG shipments to Ukraine of up to 300 million cubic meters through Polish terminals. Polish export credit agency KUKE will assist in financing these additional volumes.

The extra gas is expected to arrive in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, during the sixth ministerial meeting at the P-TEC conference in Athens, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the US reaffirmed their commitment to diversifying gas supplies to Europe, reducing reliance on Russian sources, and strengthening regional energy resilience. The US also confirmed its readiness to support the supply of American LNG to meet these strategic objectives.
