  3. Damn, it’s so easy to go fascist because my immediate thought, 0.1 second after seeing the article title, is putting tracking chips in them so you can ping their location as soon as they get to the coast of France.

    Let’s not do that. But there’s got to be a way to keep them deported or there’s no point doing it.

  7. It’s almost like they figured out how to join one of the groups boarding the boats and thought they’d give it a try again, I guess they think eventually they’ll evade capture.

    You could reasonably argue that simply shipping them across the channel to France is a far worse option and more likely to result in them jumping back on a boat at the first opportunity than being able to return them to the first country they entered in Europe which is what we used to do before Brexit!

    We need dedicated facilities. Isolated, no luxuries, and the bare minimum necessities. Might as well build them here, seeing as the migrants always end up back here.

    Then we give them a choice. They can stay in the facility (never to roam our country), or go home.
    It’s a fair choice.

    I’m bored of us being a soft touch.

    Clearly individuals prepared to cross the channel via a dangerous small boat have the ingenuity it’d take to be a success here.

    And to do it twice? Surely, that’s illustrative of their hard work, commitment and resilience!

    Why not keep them?

    Instead we might want to think about deport the layabouts who think being a “productive member of society” is vandalising road markings and mini roundabouts with spray painted St George crosses, or those who hanging knock-off Chinese-manufactured flags to lamp posts – increasing our council tax?

    The nation’s GDP and average IQ would increase radically as a result.

  13. All migrants should be, photographed, finger printed and DNA taken on arrival whether they are accepted or not, this allows for quick crime resolution if they are involved, also allows to see who’s returned.

    Fairly certain it was BBC who ran an investigation on the illegal crossings, and it was families paying £17k to get into the country illegally.

    Some guy gets deported and sent over back, clearly isn’t dropping £10ks each time lol

  21. Genuine question — why can’t we just wait until they arrive, then confiscate and destroy the boat that was used? Surely it becomes economically unviable to do this if the boat is destroyed every time.
